  Notes	OBITUARY From Find A Grave Roanoke Times: ALEXANDER, Elizabeth Firebaugh, (Libby), of Fairfield, died Saturday, November 2, 2002. Daughter of the late John Greenlee Firebaugh and Ossie Elizabeth (Dunlap) Firebaugh, she was born February 10, 1916. Graduating from Fairfield High School, she attended Harrisonburg State College (now JMU) and taught school in Rockbridge County. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, John G. Firebaugh, Jr., Robert, James, and Roy, a son, Robert Tate Alexander, Jr. and a grandson, Iain M. Alexander. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Tate Alexander; three sons, Dr. Bruce Alexander and wife Margaret, of Birmingham, Ala., Sam Alexander and wife Kenmar, of Staunton, and John Alexander and wife Susan M., of Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert T. Alexander, Jr. (Marty), of Hamstead, N.H.; brother, Richard C. Firebaugh, of Staunton; sister, Jane F. Wade, of Harrisonburg; eleven grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Mrs. James (Gladys) Firebaugh, of Richmond. She was a lifetime member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church at times serving as organist and was active in the Women of the Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Extremely interested in flowers, she was a member of the Natural Bridge Garden Club and was quite active as a National Accredited Flower Show Judge, holding several offices in its organization. Her husband, Tate, has been involved in Rotary over 50 years and Libby had much to do with their involvement in many Rotary events. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2002 in the Fairfield Cemetery with Rev. Jeannette Baggs officiating. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Fairfield Presbyterian Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
