Whittaker of Warsaw died March 9, 1991 at WCCH. He was born January 17, 1940 in Berwind, W. Va., a son of Edna Prater Taylor and the late Douglas Whittaker. He was a graduate of Perry High School, and manager of "Edna's Grocery Store in Niagara Falls prior to retirement in 1978 due to ill health. Surviving are his mother; his wife, Mary Fortin Whittaker, whom he married in 1973; his stepfather, Richard Taylor of Orange City, Fla.; three stepsons, Edward Kent, Charles (Betsy) Kent, Albert (Georgette) Kent; five stepdaughters, Theresa (Charles) Raptis, Joan (Robert) Bailey, Shirley (Eugene) Gayford, Sandra McCleran, Clair Kent; two brothers, Mike Whittaker of Mechanicsville, Ind., Larry Whittaker of Orange city, Fla.; two sisters, Edith (Alvin) Ingersole of Niagara Falls, Lucille (Tom) Ryce of Pelhan, Fla.. Services were held at the Weeks Funeral Home with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Springs.
