Notes:
Her death lead to one of the greatest murder trials of post-Civil War America. Her cousin Thomas J. Cluverius was tried and hung in a case that received extended national attention. It had the drama of a pregnant unwed woman, a handsome young lawyer, family drama and dysfunction that made for Victorian melodrama and sensationalism.
Need to do more research on the exact location of her grave. For some reason Lillian was dug up and reinterred five years later in another family plot that is nearby her original location.
