Notes:

Mary came to Texas before the rest of the family came in 1880. She died very young. Mr. Brooks remarried -- probably in San Antonio--her sister Nell once visted him and related the story. (letter from Helene Mae Ware Kopecky in 1980 to Betty Aten).

Winnie King says that she and her husband were teachers. According to genealogy Lillian Hutto Towns, she lived in San Antonio area many years.
