"This indenture made this fourth day of May, one thousand seven hundred and ninety three between Isham Belcher of the county of Franklin and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and Richard Bowling of the county aforesaid of the other part. Withforth that the said Isham Belcher for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty pounds current money part in hand paid to him doth grant, and sell to the said Richard Bowling And his heirs a tract of land. Lying on the Branches of Poplar Camp Creek and Simmons Creek in the County aforesaid. Containing by estimation two hundred and eight acres be the ????. and bounded as follows.
Richard Bowling his heirs and assignee of said Isham Belcher and his heirs forever warrant and??..the said tract of land with its appurtenances to the said Richard Bowling and his heirs against the claim for all persons ??????.Isham Belcher and Elizabeth his wife????signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Isham Belcher, Elizabeth Belcher
Magistrate for Franklin County. In April 1793 the written indenture together with the memorandum of??..was acknowledged by the written name of Isham Belcher to be his act and deed and Elizabeth his wife being privately examined separate and apart from her husband making whence her rights of dower in the said land and the same was ordered to be recorded.
