Timber Ridge

Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Sterrett, Jr. accompanied by Mr. William Sterrett of Rockbridge Baths, drove to Hot Springs Saturday to attend funeral services for Mr. Lyle Sterrett. Mr. Sterrett, who grew up on Timber Ridge, and who returned for frequent visits to his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Sterrett, is particularly remembered here for his beautiful voice; it having been his custom to serve as guest soloist in the Stone Church choir whenever he was available. It is of interest to his friends to learn that the doctors who attended him in the short and violent illness which preceded his death express deep appreciation to his family for permitting an autopsy, which they say, taught them much which will be of value to doctors in handling other cases such as his.
