    Richard Farley Denby Meade , 62, died Aug. 28, 2001, in a Virginia Beach hospital. He was a native of Norfolk born to Mildred D. Meade and the late Carlos J. Meade .

    Survivors include a daughter, Mildred W. Meade of North Carolina; a son, Richard F. Meade of Charlottesville, Va.; a brother, Ronald J. Meade of Titusville, Fla.; and a grandchild.

    Services and burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.
