OBITUARY
Roberta Ellen (Pack) Elliott, 86, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on September 9, 2006 at Camp Care Nursing Home, Inman. She was the widow of Harrison Wesley Elliott (1912-1984).
A native of Pike County, Kentucky, she had lived in South Carolina for 60 years, the last 45 in Inman, before moving to Windsor House West in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and later to RoseCrest Retirement Community in Inman. She had been at Camp Care for two years prior to her death.
She was the daughter of the late Barbara Alice (Shreve) Pack (1879-1953) and William Martin Pack (1873-1932) of Garrett, Kentucky, and was next to the last youngest child in a family of 13 children and the last member of her immediate family.
She was a homemaker and retired from Spartanburg School District I where she worked as a dietitian for several years. She was an active member of the Inman United Methodist Church where she participated in many organizations.
Survivors include a son, Michael Elliott (Iris); daughters, Carolyn Barnette (Bill), Barbara Bishop, and Judith Bell (Michael); six grandchildren, Robert Bishop (Lois), Elizabeth Hogue (Dan), Lori Guthrie (David), Jennifer Privette (Jeffrey), Marcia Ward (John), and Patrick Elliott (Heather); four great grandchildren, Amanda Bishop, Casey Bishop, Joshua Eubanks (Randy), Joseph Norwood, Darcy Privette and Charles Privette; and two great-great grandchildren, Addison and Morgan Eubanks. Step grandchildren Rick Bledsoe and Laura Neill; and step great-grandchildren Ian Guthrie, Noah Guthrie, Aidan Neill, Harris Privette, and Cameron Treywick also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, seven sisters, five brothers, numerous nieces, and nephews predeceased her.
Rev. C. Andrew Shull, Pastor, Woodruff First Baptist Church, and Rev. Ronald Leonard, Pastor, Inman United Methodist Church, conducted services on Monday, September 11, 2006 at Inman United Methodist Church.
A private burial service was held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, immediately following the church service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to the Inman United Methodist Church Guild Scholarship Fund or to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

OBITUARY
Glen H. Williams, 84, of Ashland, passed away Saturday morning, January 26, 2013 in the Community Hospice Care Center.
He was born August 11, 1928, in Waterloo, Ohio, a son of the late Jasper and Gladys Pack Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Mabel Lorene Williams in 2010; two brothers, Donald and Willie Williams; and two sisters Rhoda Williams and Barbara Sorrell Johnson.
Glen retired after many years of service at Johnsons Dairy. He was a member of Grandview Church of God and had attended Meade Station Church of God; he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, and enjoyed fishing trips with his family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Dana G. Williams and wife Johnda of Ashland and Kevin D. Williams and wife Debra of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Jasper Martin Williams, Jr. of Florida and Ernest Williams of West Virginia; three sisters, Mary Moore, Marie Smith, and Sally Jackson all of Ashland; five grandchildren, Dean Williams, Libby Williams, Carlie Williams and Calista Williams; and two step grandchildren, Cody Pennington and Colten Bryant.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Juanita Adkins and the Community Hospice Care Center for the care and kindness Glen has received over the last several months.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Pastor Rob Jordan. Entombment will follow in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from Noon to 2p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.

OBITUARY
LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Billy Joe Bannister, Sr. 76, entered into rest on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.
The funeral service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Bannister and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brian Bohler, John David Flanigan, Cody Davis, Bruce Turner, Gary Mackie, Jarrod Mackie, Tim Partridge, Rocky Branch Men's Golf Association, and the Men's Congregation of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bannister was the son of the late Herbert W. Bannister and the late Beulah Pack Bannister of Raysal, WV. He was a 1955 graduate of Del Barton High School in West Virginia and a 1974 graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in United States History. Mr. Bannister retired after 21 years in the United States Army serving his country honorably with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He attained the rank of 1st Sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Bill retired after 20 years at Mayfair Mills and later as owner of Lincoln Garden Center. He was a member of Rocky Branch Golf Club and attended Bethany United Methodist Church where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bryan Bannister; children, Joey Bannister of Chicago IL., David O'Neal and wife, Anna of North Augusta, S.C., Marty Bannister and wife, Amy of Dublin, OH, Bryan Guin and wife, Kathy of Tignall, GA., and Travis Guin and wife, April of Tignall; grandchildren, Kristen Crenshaw, Kayley Bannister, Lillie and Emily O'Neal, Corey, Amy and Sophie Bannister, Will, Taylor and Holden Guin; and great grandchild, Caden Crenshaw.
Mr. Bannister was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie "Lil" Parker Bannister and a son, Terry Alan Bannister.

Donna Jean Sorrell Greene, 65, of Ashland, Kentucky, wife of William E. Greene, died Sunday morning, July 13th at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
Donna was born July 7, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Barbara Williams Sorrell. She was a member of Meade Station Church of God, a loving wife and always enjoyed special time with her family and grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother, Ron Sorrell. Surviving in addition to her husband include a son, Steve Thompson and wife Becky of Ashland, Kentucky. A daughter, Andrea Rue and husband Michael of Versailles, Kentucky. 3 stepsons, William E. Greene, Jr. and wife Julie, and Scott Greene, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Jeffery Greene of New Jersey. 12 grand children, Kaylee and Maggie, Brandon and Brittany, William Timothy and Michael, Kurt and Amanda, Jessica and Alyssa, Kiersten and Brianna, and great granddaughter Raylynn. A sister, Karen Sorrell of Ohio, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Meade Station Church of God by Pastor Robert Jordan. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time.

Ronald D. Sorrell, 55, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2010, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Dec. 18, 1954, in Ashland, Ky., a son of Barbara Williams Sorrell Johnson of Ashland and the late Andrew J. Sorrell Jr.
He was a 35-year employee of Windstream Communications and a member of Meade Station Church of God and the Communication Workers of America. He was a 1972 graduate of Boyd County High School.
