OBITUARY

Bettie Jane Macy, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 in Pleasant Valley Assisted Living in Peoria, AZ. She was 84. She was born May 5, 1925 in Roanoke, VA, to the late John T. and Mary Allen Whiteaker Suthers. Mrs. Macy was a teacher's aide for Caroline County Public School System. She had been a member of the Eastern Star Electa Chaper #33, in Roanoke, Va since 1954. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Macy in 1995; and 2 brothers, John T. Suthers and Alan W. Suthers. She is survived by her son, John Kirk Macy of Woodbridge, VA; and 3 grandchildren. Graveside services wil be Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Greensboro Cemetery.
