CENTER BARNSTEAD, N.H. - Norma Woodward (Trafton) Joslyn, 79, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H.

She was born in York on Jan. 25, 1925, the daughter of Russell E. and Augusta (Woodward) Trafton. She was a 1942 graduate of York High School. She worked for 38 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Norma had a great passion for flowers, plants and her husband?s photography. She was known for her desire to keep her Christmas tree displayed until July.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lewis Joslyn of Center Barnstead, N.H.; her son, Glenn Joslyn and his wife Beverly, of Center Barnstead, N.H.; a granddaughter, Angela Ambrose and her husband, Raymond, of Concord, N.H; her brother, Chester Trafton of York; her sister, Harriet Lawry of York; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Parish Cemetery, York Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, Northeast Division, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, Maine, 04086 or the American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701. YORK, Maine ? Chester R. Trafton, 84, of 41 Plaisted Road, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, in York Hospital.

He was born Dec. 19, 1926, in York, a son of the late Russell E. and Augusta M. (Woodward) Trafton. He was a
graduate of York High School and had served in the Army during World War II.

He had worked for Henry Ruch Construction Co., the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and for Central Maine Power
before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion, St. Aspinquid Lodge and the Maine Royal Arch
Chapter. He enjoyed trains, model boats and watching the Red Sox and Bruins.

He is survived by a sister, Harriet T. Lawry, of York; two brothers-in-law, Earl B. Smith Jr. and Gene Lawry, both of
York; and nieces, nephews and cousins. His wife, Grace (Smith) Trafton, died in 2003. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Norma Joslyn and Helen Adams.

SERVICES: A funeral service for Chet will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in the Lucas and Eaton Funeral
Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York. Burial will follow in the First Parish Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
