Rudy Lynn Battles, 53, of Moore, Oklahoma, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 13, 2009, at
Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Rudy was born December 9, 1955, in Bakersfield, California, to Ovie Battles and Gertrude (Wilcox) Battles. He moved to Moore in 1969, and graduated from Moore High School in 1976.
He married Linda Battles on March 21, 1998.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Owe and Gertrude Battles; and brothers, Jerry, Harold, and Ron Battles. Survivors include his wife, Linda Battles, of Moore, OK; daughters, Ashley and Shanna of Norman; step-daughter, Shadda; step-sons, Chad and Jeremy, all of Moore,
OK; three sister, Gaila Varney , of Livermore, CA, Reijeana Baker, of Tehachapi, CA, and Vicki Battles, of Norman, OK; brothers, Keith Battles of Oklahoma City, OK and Kerry Battles of Mulvane, KS; grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Bradyon, Tiffany, Ashley, Emily, Katelynn, and Shelby.
