He was a farmer and a member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church; services were held at Farris Funeral Home; with the Rev. Robert L. Prater officiating, burial at Blackwell's Chapel, Washington Co. VA.; He had 9 children from his first marriage, but none from his marriage with Pansy.

He was survived by 3 daughters, 6 sons, 21 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 step daughter, 3 stepsons and 5 step-grandchildren.

John married Pansy Henderson O'QUINN. Pansy (daughter of John O'QUINN and Grethel Hendricks HENDERSON) was born 28 Dec 1910, Washington Co. VA; died 31 Mar 1983, Saltville, VA. [Group Sheet]
