OBITUARY

Dated Nov 9, 1932: Monett, Mo., Nov. 8 - Marion Tate, about 65 years old, a resident of near Monett all of his life and a worker for farm-to market roads and various measures for farm improvements died at 2 o'clock this morning at his home, three miles east of Monett.

His death followed a six months' illness. His death was attributed to uremic poisoning.

Mr. Tate was born and reared on his present farm and had resided there all of his life. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Tate, at home; a son John D. Tate, also at home; a sister, Mrs. Henry Jackson, living east of Monett, and two brothers, John Tate, who resides on a farm east of here, and Dr. Cornelius Tate of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Marion married Hattie Lawie McQueen 24 Jan 1912, Barry Co. MO. Hattie was born 06 Jan 1881, Verona, Lawrence Co. MO; died 01 Dec 1937, Kings Prairie, Barry Co. MO; was buried , Spring River Cemetery, Verona, Lawrence Co., MO. [Group Sheet]
