Maude lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Nannie and Guy Flanagan on their farm outside of Abingdon. Maude was a loner who would go to the barn when company came. (Ref: Charles Nelson) Maude did not marry and at the time of her death was living with her brother, Roy Nelson at Clinchburg, VA. She is buried in the Nelson Cem.
