    Notes:

    Joseph and his wife, Elizabeth, left TN and moved to AL around 1835 and then moved to Dade County, GA, where Joseph died before 1840.

    State of Georgia, Dade County. Indenture made the sixth of August 1853 between John G. TATE, James TATE and Joseph TATE, the heirs of Joseph Tate dec'd of the State of Tennessee, county of Grundy of the the one part and Harvey Walker of the other part of the state aforesaid... witnesseth that the said Horace Walker for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ten dollars to them in hand paid... sold half of that tract or parcel of land situated being and lying in the tenth district of Cherokee County, now Dade County, Land lot 184. Witness: John Gross and Sarah Gross. Signed John G. Tate.
