Susan married Peter Augustus Jay. Peter was born 23 Aug 1877, Newport, RI; died 18 Oct 1933, Washington, DC; was buried , John Jay Cemetery Rye Westchester Co. NY. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

Emily Kane Jay 15, was the daughter of Peter Augustus Jay and Susan Alexander McCook Jay. Her father was the Ambassador to Argentina. Right after the death of his daughter Peter resigned his post and went into retirement.

Emily had been suffering from sleeping sickness, and while ill her appendix burst and she died after surgery.

Funeral services where held at the Embassy, and her body taken to a Vault, to be brought back for burial in the family cemetery.
