  Notes	Juanita S. Halstead, 89, of Scott Depot, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Sunbridge of Putnam after an extended illness. Juanita was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ in St. Albans, where she had taught Ladies Bible Classes for many years. She had published a book about her Father's family titled "The Sigmon's of Virginia" and had completed an unpublished manuscript about her Mother's family titled "Reed's In The Wind." She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed her genealogical studies and spending time with her two cats. Before her marriage, she had worked for the state of West Virginia in the Department of Labor and the Executive branch and later for the Southern Coal Operators Association in Charleston. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, E. Housten Halstead and her great-grandson, Jamie Dale Pauley. Juanita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Joan Halstead of Midland, Mich.; her grandchildren, Erin Halstead Pauley, Matthew Joseph Halstead, and Carrie Rebecca Halstead; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra Brooke Pauley, Tyler Austin Venturi, Ella Madison Halstead, and Hunter Wayne Halstead; her niece, Martha Watterson of Apple Grove. A celebration of Juanita's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans, with Minister Michael Mayo officiating. Private entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service.
