  Notes	Rachel was born in Virginia but moved to Denton as a small child where her father died within six months. Her mother moved to Travis/Williamson County area but died within a few years. I have yet to find where Rachel lived until found in the 1900 Census just prior to her marriage to John. She told of living with Josie and Frank Aten as a teenager. She bore children and lived on farms in the Travis/Williamson area until they moved to Cockrell Hill, 2002 Archer Street, in the 1920's This house is still being lived in. Here she baked bread/doughnuts which husband sold on street when he was out of work during the Depression.
