OBITUARY
Dolly Jeston McGlothlin Chapman, loving mother and grandmother, age 76 of Tazewell, VA peacefully passed away to be with the Lord Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA.
Born August 21, 1937 in Tazewell, VA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Tempie Kegley McGlothlin. She was a member of the Fincastle Baptist Church in Tazewell, VA, where she attended for 55 years. Dolly retired from Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles after more than 20 years service. She was a member of the Red Hats Do Dats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Preston "Monk" Chapman and one sister, Patsy Surber.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Loveann Cochran and husband, Jerry of North Tazewell, VA and Gina Verletha Young and husband, Donnie of Salem, VA; six grandchildren, Aaron Cochran and wife, Carrie of Salem, VA, Chad Cochran and wife, Becky of Tazewell, VA, Ashley Ward and husband, Brad of Pounding Mill, VA, Allison Rose and husband, Kevin of Honaker, VA, Justin Young and Kevin Young of Salem, VA; six great grandchildren, Anna Cochran, Madison Cochran, Hannah Ward, Sierra Buchanan, Logan Rose and Haley Ward; one brother, Guy McGlothlin and wife, Hazel of Huntington, WV; brother in law, Ken Surber of Castlewood, VA; sisters in law, Dot Stilwell and husband, Bobby of Tazewell, VA, Christine Shrader of Abingdon, VA, and June Chapman of Gilbert, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with the Reverend J.C. Steele, the Reverend Greg DeMarco, and the Reverend Rick Herald officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Wright, Eli Jones, Don Rose, Amoth Hayes, Steve Lutz, Larry Lutz, and Frank Melvin.
