Lists William Thomas Belcher immigrated to the (Warrosquoyoake)Isle of Wight County Va around 1637. Records have him marrying Tabitha in 1636/37 Isle of Wight. The change to the Gregorian Calendar makes some genealogy dates off one year. He is the earliest Belcher immigrant to Virginia. A court record in the Virginia state Library states: "Belcher in Virginia, a judgment of court for a debt. Jan'ry 12, 1659- Thomas William Belcher ordered to pay Mr. Jnoh Cogan 650lb. tobo." Charles City Co ,s of the James River, M B Parish."
