OBITUARY
Mrs. Myrtle Mae (Lowery) Tate of Amagon died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Newport.
She was born July 13, 1919 at Johnstown, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Maude Savannah (Camp) Lowery.
Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and a member of the Pennington Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Tate; one son, Byron Fletcher Tate; one grandson, Travis Lowery Tate; her parents; five brothers, Woodrow, C.C. "Buck", G.C., Jr., William, and L.C. Lowery: two sisters, Ruby Cornwell and Dora Tate.
Mrs. Tate is survived by one son, Billy Lowery Tate and wife Angela of Pennington; two daughters, Beverly Sue Rowland and husband L.W. "Dub" of Newport and Teena Renay Patty and husband Gene of Mayfield, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Diane Tate of Grubbs; one sister-in-law, Gatha Lee Lowery of Newport; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services were at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Kyler Cemetery.
