OBITUARY
Rosemary Anita Chambers Reynolds, 94, passed away on December 4, 2014 at NHC Healthcare of Bristol, Virginia after a lengthy illness.
Rosemary was born June 25, 1920 in Kingsville, Texas
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dennis Reynolds; parents, James C. ?J.C.? Chambers and Mary Virginia Crothers Chambers; and brother, James Corbett Chambers, Jr.
She graduated Powell Valley High School in Big Stone Gap, VA in 1937. Moving frequently with her Virginia State Patrolman husband, they established homes in Wytheville, Lexington and Clifton Forge. Settling in Bristol, she worked as a community greeter for many years. She was a member of the Windsor Avenue Presbyterian Church, Friends of the Avoca Library and the Haynesfield PTA.
She is survived by her three children, Marilyn Kaye Reynolds of Concord, NC, Charles Dennis Reynolds, Jr. and wife Danna of Bristol, Tennessee, and Jan Reynolds Brown and husband Tom of Kilgore, Texas; seven granddaughters, Elizabeth Danford, Kristan Cantore, Megan Davis, Charlotte Danford, Susan Reynolds, Margaret McPherson and Rebecca Brown; ten great grandchildren, Dustin Brown, Derrick Brown, Dillon Brown, Brandon Brown, Randall Davis, Gabriel Davis, Gavin Davis, Olivia Cantore, Chloe Cantore and Lillian McPherson; brothers George T. Chambers, and Rear Admiral Richard K. Chambers, USN Ret.; sister, Charlotte Kludzuweit; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tennessee with Susan Reynolds, Director of Children?s Ministries at Graystone Presbyterian in Knoxville, Tennessee officiating.
Arrangements especially for Mrs. Reynolds and her family have been made through Oakley-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory.
