She was born February 23, 1915 in Squire, West Virginia to the late Mose and Nannie Kate Owens Harrison, and lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She was a housewife, and a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School, WMU and the Young at Heart Group. She is preceded in death by her husband Woody Pitts. She is survived by: Son: Dr. Gary W. Pitts and wife Susan of Boone, NC Brother: Vance E. Harrison of Bristol, Va. Sister: Wilma H. Kistner of Bristol, Tn. 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2004 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Houck officiating. The burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Pitts, Scott Pitts, Tige Darner, Phil Kistner, Craig Kistner, and Greg Stubbs. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
