Oral Giddens
Oral I. Giddens, 83, of 2733 W. Montana died at 2:25 p.m. Sunday at his home.
Born Oct-31.1898 in Eldon, Mo., to Thomas R. and Mary K. Allen Giddens, he married Sally May Edwards Dec. 24, 1918, in Kansas City, Kan. She died Nov. 16.1973 in Peoria.
A Peoria resident since 1967, he formerly owned a restaurant in Kansas City.
Surviving are four sons, Lory of East Peoria, Almon of Houston, Mo., Richard and Jerry, both of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Whitaker and Mrs. Phil (JoAnn) Risley, both of Jacksonville. Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Irma Ghosey of Kansas City. Two sons, two
daughters, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel, the Rev. John Stanley officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the chapel, and burial will be in Snicarte Cemetery, near
Bath, with graveside services at 2 p.m.
