FOX Richard W. IV Richard W. Fox IV, 92, of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2014. He was born in Crookston, Minn., and lived in the Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio areas for over 60 years.
Richard served in World War II on the U.S.S. Colorado and also in the Korean War. He retired from the accounting department of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
Richard was a faithful attendee of The Chapel, was a member of Meade Avenue Christian Church, and a former member of High Street Christian Church. He was active in the Akron Metropolitan Hiking Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Freida J. Fox; parents, Rev. Richard W. Fox III and Mamie Lynch Fox; and sister, Evelyn House.
Graveside Services and burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at East End Cemetery in Wytheville, Va., with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O. Box 547, Akron, Ohio 44309-0547.
