She was 84. She was born May 5, 1925 in Roanoke, VA, to the late John T. and Mary Allen Whiteaker Suthers. Mrs. Macy was a teacher's aide for Caroline County Public School System. She had been a member of the Eastern Star Electa Chaper #33, in Roanoke, Va since 1954. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Macy in 1995; and 2 brothers, John T. Suthers and Alan W. Suthers. She is survived by her son, John Kirk Macy of Woodbridge, VA; and 3 grandchildren. Graveside services wil be Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Greensboro Cemetery.
