Hayes, 78, of Brookfield, Ohio, formerly of the Hundred area, died Friday, June 4, 2004 in the St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. He was born September 24, 1925 at Jacksonburg, WV a son of the late Ellis Hayes and Alberta Flowers Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a United States Army Veteran having served in the 20th Armored Division in World War II. He was member of the Hundred Church of Christ. He retired in 1986 from Pennzoil Co. in Mannington where he worked as a production supervisor. Surviving are his wife, Ora Pearl Morris Hayes; three sons & spouses, Kenneth & Sharon Hayes of Vienna, Ohio, Howard & Kelly Hayes of Brookfield, Ohio, and Ricky Hayes of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers, Junior Hayes of Reader and Ralph Hayes of Dale, WV, a half-brother, Thomas Hayes; one sister, Marjorie Bedgood of Montgomery, AL; a half-sister, Helen Brennaman of Dale; 8 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother, one daughter, Linda Ellen Hayes and one son, Timothy A. Hayes, I. Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsvillle, WV.
