  Notes	Excerpt from Tate Families of the Southern States, Volume II, by Laura Mentzel and Ethel Updike, 1984 Elizabeth was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Smith Tate. No information is known on her daughters Mary and Ader. In 1850 she was living with her mother in Grundy County, age 15. In 1860 she had married and was living in Henderson County, adjacent to Decatur County, TN and living with the family was her mother, Elizabeth, age 50.
