Wanda Claire Bevins Owens, 91, formerly of Lebanon, passed away at her home on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004. Born on May 19, 1913, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Myrtle Tate Bevins. Wanda retired from Chrysler "Amplex Plant," after 25 years of loyal service. She blessed the lives of many people throughout her lifetime and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will forever live in their hearts. In addition to her parents, her cousin, Carl Tate, also preceded her in death. Wanda was like a mother to her special friends and neighbors of 21 years, Garry and Betty Gulliver; and was like a grandmother to Beth and Shannon Gulliver and Brian and Mary Gulliver, all of Belleville. Four cousins also survive her, Betty White of Canton, Mich., Dorothy Tate of Clear, Va., Virginia Colley of Porter, Va., and Ferne Pate of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at 8 p.m. at Owens Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Mike Carter officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., before the service at the funeral home. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
