now Essex Co., VA., were the plantations of BARTHOLOMEW VAWTER, WILLIAM HODGSON, THOMAS PAGE, CORNELIUS NOELL, and PETER RUCKER. On down the Rappahannock River, in Middlesex Co., VA. were the plantations of CLAUDE VALLOTT
and STOKELEY TOWLES.
BARTHOLOMEW VAWTER, son of JOHN VAWTER, the Immigrant, lived on Blackburn's Creek, married 1696, WINIFRED HODGSON, daughter of WILLIAM HODGSON, a merchant and planter who lived on Cockleshell Creek.
