In 1880 Lauderdale County census, Louisa was a widow and had five children to care for. Her mother was also living with her.
The 1900 Lauderdale County, Tennessee census gives her date of birth as July 1841. She had had six children with five still living. One child must have died between 1900 and 1910.
Her son Fletcher, his wife Viola and their daughter Altie were living with Louisa at the time of the 1900 census. It showed that both of her parents were born in North Carolina.
The 1910 census for Lauderdale County showed six children with four living.
In 1920, Louisa was living with her son Charles and his family in Lauderdale County, Tennessee.
