She was the widow of Marion Beverly Griffith, who died five years ago. A lifelong resident of Tazewell County, she was a daughter of the late Mathias and Mary Mitchell Christain, Tazewell County natives. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors also include one other daughter, Mrs. Mexie Anderson of Jewell Ridge, Va.; two sons, Cecil and Irvin Griffith of Jewell Ridge, two sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Brooks of MacArthur and Mrs. Rebecca Lowe of Kingsport, Tenn., two brothers, Delta Christian of North Tazewell and Fred Christian of Coaldan, Va., nine grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel at Richland?s with Rev. Allan Chapman and Rev. H.D. Hampton officiating.
