OBITUARY

Alalynn Jessee Tate, 89, of Birmingham, Ala., died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Saint Vincent's Hospital, Birmingham.

Mrs. Tate was a resident of Galleria Woods Retirement Center in Birmingham and a former resident of Haleyville, Ala., and Elizabethton. She was a native of Russell County, Va., and a member of the Haleyville Methodist Church.

Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Tate.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Tate Witte, Gulf Shores, Ala.; a brother, Marshall B. Jessee, Tampa, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Brenda Stephenson and Lori Taylor, both of Birmingham, Ala. Four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services and interment will be held Saturday in Lebanon, Va.

Alayn married Thomas Edward TATE. Thomas (son of Henry John Jefferson TATE and Cynthia Ada "Synthia" JESSEE) was born 14 May 1907, Lebanon, Russell Co. VA; died 28 Sep 1996, Birmingham, Jefferson Co. AL; was buried , Westhill Cemetery, Lebanon, Russell Co. VA. [Group Sheet]
