    In Campbell County is the will recorded of Charles Cobbs,
    Senior, dated March 3, 1798, and proved January 13, 1800. It names wife Ann and children (1) Jesse, (2) John, (3) Charles R., (4) Caleb, (5) William W., (6) Samuel D., (7) Thomas, (8) Frances Rodgers and her children, William Rodgers, Elizabeth Ann Rodgers and Ann Walton Rodgers. He made his sons Jesse and John Cobbs and Edmund Herndon, exors., and his friends Robert Alexander and Thomas Clark, counsellors to them as they may need. Witnesses, Williston Talbot, Edmund Johns, Josiah Crows, Robert Carter, Thomas Cobbs, James Cobbs and Moses Cobbs.

    On the motion of Edward Moseley one of the Executors therein named who made oath according to law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat of the said will in due form he giving security whereupon he with John Patrick, Hillery Moseley, Thomas Goode & Edmund Herndon his securities entered into & acknowledged their bond according to law for that purpose.
