Narcie Helen White Phipps, age 90, of Bandy, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital.

She was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Curtis Elmer and Mary Suzannah Cole White.
She had made her home in the Jewell Ridge area all of her life and was a former social worker for Tazewell County and a former legal aide. She was a lifetime member of the Bearwallow Bible Church, member of the Tuesday Morning Ladies Prayer Group, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Ladies Homemaker Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roby Clyde Phipps; and two brothers, Ulys P. ?U.P.? White and Charles Douglas White.

Six Grandchildren: Jonathan Yates and wife, Heather; Jeremy Yates and wife, Carmen; Roby Phipps; Britt Phipps and wife, Jennifer; L.C. Phipps and wife, Tammy; and Martha Cole and husband, Shawn.

Twelve Great Grandchildren and special caregivers: Joann Horn and Betty Hagerman also survive.

Funeral services for Narcie Helen Phipps will be conducted Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Pastor Kevin McGlothlin, Rev. Kenny Perkins, and Rev. Lonnie Perkins officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Grandsons, Great Grandsons, Neil White, Quay White, Jeff White, and Reid Artrip.

Friends may call after 6pm Wednesday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bearwallow Bible Church, c/o Lisa Artrip, 4772 Greasey Creek Road, Bandy, VA 24602.
