OBITUARY

Mildred Ruth Moore Tate, age 83, entered into rest November 9, 2012 at her residence. Mildred was born in Virginia, was a longtime resident of Kingsport.

She was the daughter of the late George Washington Moore and Ortha Samantha Moore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow E. Tate who died in 1998. She and Woodrow ran the Midway Service and Grocery for 30 years in the Sunnyside community.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Keith Tate and his wife Brenda, Rickey Tate all of Kingsport; one grandson, Chip Tate of Kingsport; two sisters, Viola Smith and Nell Burke both of Big Stone Gap, Va.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be held. East Lawn Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tate family.
