OBITUARY

FREDONIA - Eula M. Black, 99, Fredonia, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Beverly Health and Rehab, Fredonia.

She was born Oct. 25, 1902, in rural Fredonia, the daughter of John Carl and Arilla Stevens Cook.

She was retired from Klassy Cleaners after more than 40 years as co-owner and operator.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia, a worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star and post noble grand of the Rebecca Lodge.

On April 25, 1925, she married Lloyd Black in Fredonia. He died May 13, 1973.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Manthey, Fredonia; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne; infant twin daughters; five brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Fredonia City Cemetery, led by the Rev. W. Lawrence Grove of the First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from noon - 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Fredonia Senior Citizens Center or the First United Methodist Church Foundation and may be left with the funeral home.

Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia, is in charge of arrangements.
