    OBITUARY

    Theodore Roosevelt Osborne,102,passed away Sunday Dec 15 2002 in a Richlands Virginia hospital.

    Born Feb 29 1900 in Buchanan County Virginia he was a son of the late Mathias and Sarah Lizzie Elizabeth Osborne Osborne.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Becky Jane Burke Osborne, his second wife Ida Mae Ball Shelton Osborne and his third wife Nannie Bell Chambers Lowe Osborne; son--Clyde Osborne; brothers--Esau Osborne and Walter Stewart Osborne; sisters Bertha V. Osborne Davis, Edie Osborne, Molly Osborne Webb, Rebecca Becky Osborne, Mary Osborne Steele and Rosie Bell Osborne Davis.

    He is survived by one brother Noah Osborne of Doran Virginia and nine nieces and eleven nephews.

    He lived on Big Creek Road in Richlands Virginia for over three years with his nephew--James Earnest Davis and wife Eva Gay Cantrell Davis whom he called his children because he raised James after James' mother died.

    James has two sons Robert Lee Davis and wife Early Dawn Davis and Jerry Matthew Davis and wife Nita whom he called his grandchildren. James has four grandchildren Justin Lee Davis, James Mathias Davis, Kevin Lee Davis and Tishia Lynn Davis that Theodore called his great-grandchildren. They kept him going for the past three years.

    Theodore was of the Holiness faith.

    Thanks to a special friend and doctor Dr. Ernest Moore whom he thought the world of. A big thanks to the Independednt Home health and Community Home Care for all their help.

    A big thank you to his home care giver Jo Ann Mounts of Grundy Virginia and Pat Rife of Richlands Virginia. Also a big thank you to Tammy Wright his home nurse of Osborn Mtn. She was his friend family and a special lady whom he loved very much.

    A big thank you to his niece Monnie Osborne Coker of Tazewell Virginia for all the help she has given for three years.

    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Dec 18 2002 at two at Singleton Funeral Chapel in Cedar Bluff Virginia with Brother Earl Cole officiating.

    Pallbearers will be friends and family.

    Friends may call at the Singleton Funeral Service from seven to nine Tuesday with a song service at seven.

    Burial will be in the Burke Cemetery on Osborn Mtn in Buchanan County Virginia.
