OBITUARY

Annamarye Lackey Sterrett, 69, or Rt. 1, Raphine, died Wednesday, July 15, at her residence.

Mrs. Sterrett was born Oct. 8, 1922, at Timber Ridge, duaghter of the late William Percy Lackey and Isabelle Stuart Lackey. She was married to Madison McClung "Mc" Sterrett, Jr., well known Rockbridge County farmer.

She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Brownsburg Wednesday Club.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Isabelle Sterrett Chewning of Falls Church and Agnes Sterrett Lipscomb of Fairfax; four brothers, Percy Stuart Lackey of Waynesboro, Frank M. Lackey and Fred B. Lackey, both of Lexington, and Robert G. Lackey of Fairfield; and three sisters, Julia Lackey Baxter of Petersburg, Dorothy Lackey Straub of Lexington, and Agnes Lackey Patterson of Brownsburg.

The funeral was conducted Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at New Providence Presbyterian Church by Dr. John H.H. Lewis.
