J.B. BAILEY, PROMINENT EMPORIA CITIZEN DIED

EMPORIA, Virginia, Feb. 20- J.B. Bailey, 56, for many years one of the most active figures in the business life of Emporia, died in his home here this morning at 4 o'clock after an illness of several months. He was the son of the late J.E. Bailey of Greenville County. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss. Cornelia Sterrett, of Richmond. Funeral services will take place from the Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. J.W. Lacy officiating. Burial will be in the Emporia Cemetery.
