OBITUARY

The Staunton Leader; 25 Jan 1983

Harry Dull Fox, 79, of the Decatur community at Rt. 1. Fairfield, died Monday in Staunton. He was born Aug. 7, 1900 in Rockbridge County, son of Ralph H. Fox and Lula J. Sweet Craig Fox.

Fox was a member of Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was retired from the B&O Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Frances Fox on Feb. 15, 1966; two brother, June L. Fox and J. Franklin Craig and one sister Margaret Craig Cash.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lula F. Rice of Alexandria, Mrs. Rebecca F. Gowin of Springfield and Mrs. Betty Jo Bishop of Steeles Tavern; one son Harry M. Fox of Charlottesville; one brother Clarence Fox of Decatur; seven grandchildren. A service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fairfield Cemetery by Dr. Homer T. Cornish. The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Harrison's Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Frances Miller Fox. 57, died Tuesday in a Staunton Hospital. Surviving are her Husband, Harry D. Fox; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Rice, Alexandria, Mrs. Rebecca Gowin, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Betty Jo Bishop, Steels Tavern; a son, Harry M. Fox, Waynesboro; three sisters, Miss. Isabella T. Miller, Alexandria, Mrs. Josephine M. Camp, Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Anna M. Seward, Elberson; two brothers, Stuart T. Miller, Summit, N.J., Ellis L. Miller, Fairfield.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Old Stone Presbyterian Church at Timber Ridge with burial in Fairfield Cemetery. The body is at Harrison's Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Lexington Gazette; 19 April 1940

Ellis LeCampion Miller, 78, died Sunday at his home near Decatur after a brief illness. He was a prominent farmer of that neighborhood. He was born at Washington, Virginia, a son of Middleton Miller and Anna Hubbs Miller.

Funeral Services were conducted at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Robert Ray, pastor of the Old Stone Presbyterian church at Timber Ridge, an internment was in the Timber Ridge Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Thompson Miller; four daughter, Mrs. Harry D. Fox, Miss Anna Miller of Aqua, Mrs. Thomas D. Camp of Richmond, and Miss Isabella Miller of Lexington; two sons Stuart T. Miller, Washington, D.C., USA and Ellis LeCampion, Jr. of Aqua.

OBITUARY

The News Gazette; Lexington VA; 1 April 1964

Mrs. Sterrett Thompson Miller, 83, died at a nursing home in Dunn Loring Saturday.

A native of Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Stuart Thompson and Rebecca [Isabella] Sterrett Thompson.

She was a member of the Old Stone Presbyterian at Timber Ridge.

Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. H.D. Fox of Fairfield; Miss Isabella Miller of Alexander; Mrs. Thomas G. Camp of Silver Springs, Md., and Mrs. Roger H. Seward of Elberton; two sons, Stuart T. Miller of Summit, N.J. and E. L. Miller, Jr. of Fairfield; and one sister, Mrs. D. E. Brady of Glasgow.

A funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at Old Stone Presbyterian Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Robert Tabscott officiated.
