OBITUARY

H. M. Tutt, 70, retired grocer and traveling salesman, died unexpectedly this morning at his home, 316 Second Ave.

Rites will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial chapel, conducted by Virgil Bradford. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Tutt was born in Kentucky, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Tutt.

He moved to Murfreesboro 40 years ago. Prior to his retirement in March, 1959, he was with the Old Hickory Supply Company.

He was married to Nancy Killebrew who died in 1951. Later, he was married to Mrs. Beatrice Bowling, who survives. He was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ and was a Mason and a Shriner.

In addition to his wife, survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Dougle, Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Mrs. Janie Parish, Indianapolis, Ind.; five stepchildren, James Bowling, Orlando, Fla., Cathey Hochstetler, Murfreesboro, Mrs. R.C. Locher, Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Edward Key, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Paul Barnard, Richmond, Va.; two grand-children and a sister, Mrs. J.A. Gosnell, Sheffield, Ala.

Henry married Neva Jay TATE. Neva (daughter of Jacob Elbert TATE and Eliza Jane BURDINE) was born 17 Apr 1900, Russell Co. VA; died 08 May 1952, Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co. TN; was buried , Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co. TN. [Group Sheet]
