NARROWS, Va. - Ocie Ellen Baker Mullins, 76, of 2281 Old Wolf Creek Road, Narrows, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 24, 1926, at Paynesville, and was the daughter of the late Charlie L. and Meda Mullins Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Shanna Cumbee; two sisters, Della Mae Baker Brandon and Polly Jane Baker Waddell; two brothers, Lawson Baker and Maddison 'Matt' Baker; and a daughter-in-law, Mollie Jackson Mullins.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl Mullins of Narrows; five children, Evelyn Mullins Harris and son-in-law, Luther Jerry Harris of Narrows, Herbert Mullins of Coker, AL, Douglas Mullins Sr. and daughter-in-law, Sharon Mullins of Bozoo, Henry Mullins and daughter-in-law, Judy Mullins of Thaxton, and Arlene Mullins Sharp and son-in-law, Walter Sharp of Narrows; one brother, Harrison Baker and sister-in-law, Birdie of Kellysville; one sister, Ella Baker Lester of Kingsport, TN; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with the Revs. John Offenberger and Ward Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-West Virginia Division, 111 Hale St., Charleston, WV 25311
