    OBITUARY

    DICK HUDSON PASSES SUDDENLY

    Richard "Dick" Hudson, 65, retired N & W engineer, and well known resident, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at his home on Railroad Ave. He had been in poor health for several years.

    At the time of his retirement a few years ago, Mr. Hudson's service with the N & W totaled 30 years, and he was to have received a continuous members button in recognition of this service from the B. of L. F & E. Bluestone Lodge 446, Bluefield, at a meeting of that group on March 15th.

    Mr. Hudson came to Richlands about thirty years ago. For several years prior to her death, he and his wife operated the Eagle Hotel here. He was a member of Kazim Temple, Roanoke, and Richlands Lodge 318 A. F. & A. M.

    Surviving is his daughter, Miss Delores "Toot" Hudson, who made her home with her father.

    Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church at 2
    p.m. Friday. The pastor, Rev. H. A. Phillips, will officiate. Interment will be in Hankins cemetery with members of the Masonic Lodge in charge of the committal rites. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

    Member of Masonic Lodge 318 are asked to assemble at the
    Lodge hall at 1 p.m. to attend the services in a body.
