OBITUARY

The Daily Progress, Charlottesville, VA, Sat, May 21, 1955

WILLIAM F. MORRIS William Fountain Morris, of 1103 Altavista Ave., a retired city employee, died yesterday morning at the University Hospital after an illness of several months. A native of Greene County, he was the son of the late William Edward and Rebecca Jane Shifflett Morris, and was 87.

He is survived by three sons, William Edward Morris, John Thomas Morris and Herbert Lewis Morris, all of Charlottesville; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Ola Craven and Mrs. Rebecca Jane Marshall, both of Charlottesville, and Miss Patricia Virginia Morris, of Washington, D.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Morris, of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Minnie Ola Proffitt, of Lynchburg.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Hill and Irving Funeral Home chapel, followed by burial in Monticello Memorial Park. The Rev. Jack Taylor, pastor of Hinton Avenue Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by Dr. C.S. Paschall, pastor o Belmont Baptist Church.
