    STAUNTON - Mr. Raymond Junior "Buck" Wade, 73, went to be with Jesus at 2:08 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 5, 2004) at his residence on "F" Street.

    He was born July 6, 1931, in Staunton, a son of the late Lula (Fretwell) Altizer and Howard Wade. He was married to Betty Marie (McCauley) Wade on May 19, 1951, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 1997.

    Survivors include three sons, Raymond Howard Wade at home, John David Wade and wife, Kathy, of Verona, and Paul Steven Wade of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Patricia Ann (Wade) Sparrow and her husband, Edward of Amelia, Carol Ann (Wade) Mawyer and her husband, David, of Waynesboro, and Susan Lee (Wade) Ross of Amelia; two brothers, James William Wade and wife, Estelle, of Staunton, and Maynard Allen Altizer and wife, Eleanor, of Waynesboro; one sister, Alice (Altizer) Whitesell of Staunton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of dear nieces and nephews.

    A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Calvary Baptist Church, 105 Garland Drive, Staunton, on Friday (October 8, 2004) at 2 p.m. by the Reverend Bobby Campbell. Burial will follow at the Oaklawn Mausoleums and Memory Gardens, 1921 Shutterlee Mill Road.

    Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

    Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Challengers Sunday School Class.

    The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 7, 2004) at the Henry Funeral Home, 1030 West Beverley St., Staunton, and at the residence at 526 "F" St., Staunton, at other times.

    STAUNTON ? Mrs. Betty Marie McCauley Wade, 67, wife of Raymond J. "Buck" Wade, of 526 "F" St., went home to be with Jesus at 1:19 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 18, 1997) from the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
    She was born March 3, 1930, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Elsie Thompson McCauley.
    Before retiring, Mrs. Wade was a nurse's aide at King's Daughters' Hospital and Oak Hill Nursing Home.

    She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the "Challengers" Sunday school class. She participated in the Church Nursery and attended the Bible study class.
    In addition to her husband, whom she married on May 19, 1951, survivors include three sons, Raymond Howard Wade at home, John David Wade of Verona, and Steve Wade of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Patricia Ann Wade Wilson of Roanoke, Carol Ann Wade Mawyer of Waynesboro, and Susan Lee Wade Ross of Richmond; two sisters, Anna Mae Cash of Staunton and Eleanor Larson of Conn.; nine grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Wilson Dunham, Starr Wilson, Sara Wilson, Courtney Ross, Shelly Wade, Christian Wade, Nathan Wade, Andy Mawyer, and Haley Wade; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Ross; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

    A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Calvary Baptist Church by the Revs. Edward D. Northrop Jr. and Jay C. Morgan. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

    Pallbearers will be the Men of Calvary Baptist Church.
    The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Henry Funeral Home and at other times at her residence and at the home of her son, John D. Wade, 49 Fort River Road, Verona.

    It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Heart Association, Staunton-West Augusta County Unit, P.O. Box 2614, Staunton, Va. 24402.
