PAUL

Effie W. Paul, age 90, born August 15, 1918, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at a local hospital.

Ms. Paul was a native of Scyrene, AL and a resident of Grove Hill, AL. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grove Hill, AL and a homemaker.

She is survived by her two sons Billy Max Paul of Grove Hill, AL and DeVane (Norma) Paul of Grove Hill, AL; daughter, Virginia (James) Etheredge of Thomaston, AL; three grandchildren, Paul Alan Etheredge of Birmingham, AL, Lisa Griffith of Thomaston, AL, and Daniel Paul of Tuscaloosa, AL; and one great grandchild, Carson Griffith of Auburn, AL.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill, AL. The service will be Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm at The First Baptist Church of Grove Hill, AL. Interment will be in Union Baptist Cemetery on the Allen Walker Rd. in Grove Hill, AL.

She was born 15 Aug 1918. She was a native of Scyrene & a member of the First Bapt. Church of Grove Hill. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include 2 sons: Billy Max Paul & DeVane (Norma) Paul, all of Grove Hill; daughter Virginia (James) Etheredge of Thomaston; four grandchildren Paul Alan Etheredge of Birmingham, Lisa Griffith of Thomaston, Daniel Paul of Tuscaloosa, Kristie Andrews of Hawkinsville, GA; one great-grandchild, Carson Griffith of Auburn.

The service was 18 Jan at 2 pm at the First Bapt. Church of Grove Hill. Burial was in the Union Bapt. Church Cem. on the Allen-Walker Road in Grove Hill.
