DOB according to his military draft registration and the 1900 Census. His marriage certificate has his DOB around 1895. His death certificate has his DOB as 17 Mar 1900. More than likely his military draft information is the most accurate, since he was the one providing it. His wife, Mary, was the informant on the death certificate, and she may have gotten the date wrong because of shock and grief at his death. I have seen a photo of his tombstone, which gives his birth year as 1896.
