OBITUARY
Donna Lee Christian, age 87 of Tazewell , VA passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Tazewell , VA surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 3, 1922 at Bluefield, WV and was a daughter of the late James Frank and Mintor Byrd Shinault. Mrs. Christian was of the protestant faith and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was motherhood. She was never without a smile. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nile V. Christian; two sisters, Louise and Elsie; five brothers, Woodrow, Joe, Clarence, Andy, and Frank Shinault.

Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Joy Myers and husband, Frank of Tazewell, VA and Dainta Nile Asbury of North Tazewell, VA; one son, Rod Christian and special friend, Arlene Adkins of Tazewell, VA; one brother, Dan Shinault and wife, Rosie of Bluefield, WV; eight grandchildren, Angie Young, Karen Mustard and husband, Marty, Nile Christian and wife, Beth, Jamie Christian, Lori Rodriguez, Monique Herald and husband, Frank, Misty Raines and husband, Steve, and Kim Myers; fourteen great-grandchildren, Kristi Osborne, Franklin Alley, Cameron, Amber, and Jension Young, Halen and Skyler McKinnon, Stephanie Christian, Ryan, Aaron, and Brian Christian, Amanda Christian, Sierra and Christopher; several nieces and nephews; the staff of Heritage Hall, Legacy Hospice and other friends who gave Donna their care and love.

Funeral services for Donna Lee Christian will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell , VA with the Rev. Adam Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers will be Cameron Young, Franklin Alley, Marty Mustard, Frank Herald, and Steve Raines. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010.
