Found in the 1860 Census, Washington Co.VA Liberty Hall Area
    William Nelson, age 35
    Haneva Nelson age 22
Elizabeth Nelson age 10, which suggests William had been married before,as Haneva is only 22 herself.
    Jacob Nelson age 9
    John Nelson age 2
Unnamed age 4 months; This is probably Willam as the dates are correct.

If this is William's family, Jacob's name is Nyekirk John or vice versa; after their mother was taken away, Nyekirk was adopted by a family in Ohio and taken there to live.  Many years later he returned to Emory looking for family.  He found the Nelson's had at one time owned land in Tennessee.
